TOPIC           Early Interventions for Airway Development and Facial Esthetics

OBJECTIVES  The ADA has published a policy statement on the role of dentistry in sleep- related breathing disorders.  Our airway-focused discussion will provide background on the scope of the problem, the underlying causes, and intervention strategies for our pediatric patients.  Screening protocols as well as a variety of treatment options will be discussed.

TOPIC      "Bridges Out of Poverty" 
SPEAKER Katena Cain PhD. 
          Katena empowers people to translate conflict and differences into reactive breakthrough. Her passion is creating environments where individuals, teams, and organizations can transform and shift old ways of doing things. Katena holds a Bachelor's degree from Michigan State University, a Master's degree in Organizational Management from Spring Arbor University, and a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University.
OBJECTIVES    -  Definition of Poverty and the four principal factors that cause poverty.
                          -  Mental Models for the Three socio-economic classes: poverty,middle class, and                                        wealthy.
                          -  Hidden Rules of Social Classes.
                          -  Understanding Languages and the strategies to cope with language.
                          -  Building relationships by having awareness of hidden rules.

               Staff and guests are welcome for this presentation which will transform our hidden
               biases and help us all build sustainable communities and practices in which everyone                   can live well.
